The practitioners at Corpus Sanus are all committed to expanding their knowledge and skills, but not solely in the conventional manner of going to school.
Each week, the therapists at the mid-town Toronto clinic meet to discuss issues they’re facing within their practices, and the colleagues share suggestions and experiences to help resolve those issues. “One thing I make sure of with therapists is that they are willing to meet each week to study for an hour or so,” says clinic founder Lester Ponce. “The focus is on sharing knowledge and growing together. If one therapist gets better, the rest of us do too.”
The weekly session focuses on discussions, alternative approaches and airing of questions. Practitioners also treat one another. “To offer health, we need to be healthy,” Lester points out.
A comprehensive roster of services is available at the centre thanks to the diversity of its employees. Therapists with expertise in homeopathy, acupuncture, massage therapy, laser therapy, applied kinesiology and nutrition assessment work together to offer a rounded service to clients.
