Eating at Mama Alfa's is liking going to Nona's house. Alfa and Ralph make you feel like family. The ceasar salad is excellent and the pasta is the best.
Thunder Bay's best kept dining secret is Mama Alfa's restaurant in the fine Westfort Village.
Patrons are welcomed by Mama Alfa in a warm and loving way. Children are also more than welcome.
Appetizers are delightful, the ceaser salad takes second place to none, and of course pastas are homemade. If you are really hungry, Mama will fix up a 29inch pizza that barely fits out through the kitchen door.

Mama Alfa's is my favourite restaurant! Whenever I visit T. Bay I make it my "first" stop and often my second and third stop as well!!!The pasta is always excellent regardless of the dish (spagetti, ravioli etc.) and the pizza is the BEST in North America with all fresh ingredients. Mama Alfa's customer service is extraordinary - Ralph and Alfa make everyone's visit memorable. The atmosphere is very calming with Italian music playing in the background and on occasion "live music". When in Thunder Bay, Mama Alfa's is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!
Italian food at it's best! No one can touch Mama's Agnolati or Crepes or Wedding Soup. Superb flavours enriched by a warm and friendly atmosphere, fine wine and Mama's famous hospitality. We felt we were guests at her home, feasting on meals from her well-stocked kitchen. How could you ask for more?

A SLICE OF HEAVEN
What a delightful evening our table of seventeen had at MAMA ALFA'S on Saturday, June 4th.2005. We feasted on the most wonderful of meals(six mouth-watering courses of Italian food prepared by Mama Alfa's magical hands) and were entertained by a group of very talented actors who 'wove' us into their thriller of a play, 'THE TRUTH BEHIND CLOSED DOORS'! We enjoyed the close interaction with the actors and had great fun guessing "who done it?"(by the way, it was a real shocker to find out who the murderer was!). Mama Alfa even had prizes for the winners! In this world of conflict and stress, a night out at Mama Alfa's is a "slice of heaven" and worth a month at the therapist's! We are looking forward to Mama Alfa's next murder mystery evening(TRIAL BY JUDGE AND JURY) at the end of September! What could be better than an evening of exciting entertainment and the most fantastic food ever!!! 'BRAVO' Mama Alfa and thank you!
