Amazing food. Portions were huge and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a little boring. No music playing. Not recommended for daters...the overall layout is wide open, not much room for privacy when the table beside you can hear exactly what your saying. Other than that, if your looking for good food, quick & fast, something different...give Salute a try.
I visited Salute upon reading a food critic review that was written up on the newspaper titled "THE VIEW" just a couple weeks ago. I would have to agree with the food critics. The food was excellent. Great portions at reasonable prices.
Yes, the service may not be top noch, but the food makes up for it. Its a family run restaurant...kinda like a mamma/pappa shop.
I do know that myself, & my family will definetly be returning. Iam not sure what these other reviewer's were thinking as well....maybe they were looking for more of a "upscale" kinda restaurant...if so...maybe they should eat in restaurants in Burlington or Oakville.

We visited Salute and found the food fabulous authentic Italian food. The servings were plenty and the kitchen sent us over a tasty pizza ( on the house) overflowing with cheeses etc. which was the bomb, tastiest I've ever had. I don't know what the last 2 other reviewers were on when they went there, but believe me the pizza was superb, as was the main course. Service was professional, and very friendly, kind and prompt. we will definately return , I Stoney Creek treasure. Everything is homemade including the hot bread .. bon apetite.

i had came into this restaurant once before and it was ok the good food broght me back and now that they had hired a new chef that greeted us and took care of the whole order with a beauitful 3 coarse meal...there new wood oven pizza is to die for the portions are very generous..i will definetly be coming back and booking my next party there!!
