We love sushi and we were excited about the concept of this new restaurant. But what a disappointment. The place was packed, the tables jammed up right against one another. It was very loud and you really couldn't have any sort of a private conversation. The ordering process is a bit of a mystery to newcomers and we had to put our heads together with our neighbours (who we did not know) in order to figure it out. Its very difficult to know how much to order. The sushi was very average, and that's being kind. There was very little tang even to the spicier choices and the tempura was a soggy mess quite frankly. There are many better sushi restaurants here in Guelph so we would recommend spending your money elsewhere. Very disappointing evening for us.
I can't believe how much food you get with the bento box! I was absolutely stuffed and could barely finish the ice cream. You start out with miso soup which tasted pretty standard. Then salad with thousand island dressing, which was not so great because it was only iceberg lettuce. Then came the 6 pieces of california rolls which tasted pretty standard but still good. Then came the box which had tempura, fried tofu and dumplings. The unagi (eel) was good but they don't give you enough. They serve it on a bed of sprouts but there was way too much and had too much pepper. Then last but not least, I had red bean ice cream which i much prefer over green tea ice cream. Yes, that all came with ordering just the bento box.
The service was good during the first half of the meal but not so good in the second half. They're obviously not trained and it's not like one person takes care of you. Sometimes it was hard to get someone's attention when you wanted something. Actually, my friend ordered tempura sweet potatoes later in the meal and she never got them, but did get an extra bowl of tempura sauce! That was a bit funny, but she never reminded them because after waiting for so long and me almost done, she decided to skip it. Too bad for them!

I just love this place. I first experienced sushi here and I was hooked. The salmon is extremely fresh and the samon skin rolls are the best i have ever had. I have tried other sushi places to compare and thus far this has to be the best. The food isn't salty and the service is great when the staff know you. I pretty much go here 4-5x a month if not more. The staff are polite and friendly. The place did tone down our orders at first by serving 25 pieces of salmon vs 35. Once they knew how much we could eat everything was perfect. Awesome place!
The service was good, the waitress was always checking up on us. The food was amazing! Very fresh!! We left a bit of food on the plate and they didn't even charge us for it. I reccomend the salmon sushi, or anything with the salmon, it's delicious. The only thing that could have improved is more dressing on the salad. Great place to go.
