Diwa Classic Indian Cuisine

Wow. I don't expect dinner at an Indian restaurant to be over $100 bucks, but I guess that's what you get when you put "Classic" and "Cuisine" in the title. Friends of ours brought us here. The service was good albeit a little slow at times. The restaurant was bright and comfortable. But when the dishes start arriving I felt I was sitting at the other side of the room, everything seemed so small. Portions were tiny opting for visually pleasing dinnerware and garnish over stomach pleasing quantities of food. The food was good but not significantly better than what I'd get at a restaurant that charges half the amount for the same dish. Too expensive, too tiny. If you're looking for an upscalish restaurant to go with friends I guess it's a good choice if you consider indian food upscale. Personally the value for money to me makes this a "never go again" restaurant.

We arrived at 5:30 to have dinner for four. First time to this place. We were quickly seated and decided to order a number of things to share. Appetizers and drinks came quickly, but dinner took more than an hour. Drinks did not get refreshed often enough while we were waiting. Portions were quite small, after sharing 4 entrees between 4 people I left hungry. Next time we will order more food. Everything tasted great, although the butter chicken was too sweet for my taste. We will return but will keep in mind that the food takes a long time to get to your table.

Wow! Best lunch ever for only 9.99 dollars. Being an indian food lover, i have tried allmost all indian restaurant in area; to my experience Diwa gives you the best of everything for a very reasonable price...service, embience and quality, try yourself...

Sorry we showed up after 130. for a lunch buffet that claims to be open until 230, we felt like there was no effort to provide a good lunchtime experience. No new food was put out, and the service was poor. The reason I went was for the buffet, proving that quality should be the sovereign good, NOT QUANTITY

Best Restaurant in Guelph when it comes to Indian food, atmosphere and service. The owners are very caring and attentative, they always make me feel very special for don't know what reason. I highly recomend this restaurant to all indian food lovers, try yourself......
