Been to The Collins many times and I'm sure I'll be back many more. I just really wish that the service was, as some people have desciribed it, i.e. inconsistent. I have found it to be consistently bad. I think that every other time we eat there, we get a free beer because they forget us, are slow to bring food/drink, or are just generally bad. However, they have some good and some great food!
Weve eaten here before and think its a decent restuaruant. This particular visit was terrible. The food was ok, but the service was very poor. We had to ask for coffee, we had to ask for dessert menus, and we never did get ofered dessert...which is why
Steak was burnt to a crisp. veggies were bland. seems as though soaking them in butter didn't add much flavor guys...might want to try using um...i don't know....spices? pepper? salt? anything. I asked the bartender for a rum and coke, instead I got a martini. what a place. I must say though whoever hired these waitresses has good taste. they're are all freaking SUPERMODELS!! they probobly can't spell thier own names, but boy do they look good. will come back to try and pick one up after I eat somewhere else.
Spinach dip was excellent but the entrees were terrible! Overcooked steak and dried out chicken.
Overpriced.
Service was terrible. Miserable and unfriendly waitress.
