Davenport Catering

Out dated decor, long waiting times, business hasnt evolved since they opened and the food is ok at best. Bought a BLT for 4.50 and added extra bacon for 3.50 - 2 slices! I was better off buying two sandwiches. $8.00 + tax for a simple BLT, three ingredients all bought from a grocery store for less then $5 bucks. I wouldnt trust them, they cant run a business at all.

Family Lunch

We hosted a large family luncheon last Sturday. We wanted it to be simple but it was important for everybody to be well fed. Our solution was to serve sandwiches from Davenport Catering. That was a great decision - the sandwiches were delicious and we had a very happy family. Thank you Davenport - we can hardly wait to do it again! Ken and Daphne Hague

WOW, I can not believe the last review, perhaps they have mistaken the caterer because oh my was my experience over the top! They far exceeded all my expectations, and that is a remarkable statement... I am very picky and want the very best for my friends and family on my wedding day- and I definitely got it with Davenport! Slow roasted beef on a spit, hand carved on the spot, tender chicken, amazing unique salads and sides, excessive amounts of food.... we had 10 vegans in the crowd; no problem! - they provided at no extra charge - amazing vegan lasagna that everyone loved, mouth watering nut stuffed squash. The wait staff were the cherry on the top - classy and respectable,.. you'd have thought there were 40 attendants, no one waited on anything. As for price - you can not beat it... you certainly cannot go out for a roasted beef meal anywhere for that. I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experiences with Davenport Catering. I would highly recommend Davenport Catering for any occasion. Signed a very happy Mrs Wilson!

Poor Service

I contacted Davenport catering for a simple BBQ event, with about 50 people. At first they were very obliging and happy to help. On their website it says they are happy to help customize a menu to meet a budget, and this is what attracted me to their services. When I asked about customizing a particular meal, they would not give me exact prices and started to take away extras. It went from a meal with 2 meats, salads, watermelon and drinks for 11 dollars to 2 meats and a drink for 8 dollars. Then when I messaged to confirm this price (I replied to a thread of emails between myself and the contact) the answer was "are you sure you have the right catering company." They did not want to keep their promise of price. This was a horrible experience, as the one point that attracted me (customized menu) ended up being a very difficult item for the company to follow through on. I would not recommend this company.
