Okay, so I’m NEVER the girl to complain at a restaurant, I’m NEVER the girl who returns food, but I’m auctally mad, Harry’s restaurant in London is the WORST restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life I was waiting for a friend and told “we don’t hold tables” we were extremely rushed the food came out and my salad was white with feta I pulled off a handful of feta and gave up. I gave it to the waitress and explained the problem , and was charged full price for my salad, and I don’t care about the m
Good bacon double cheeseburger deluxe's dinner
Dropped in for breakfast, , typical , not disappointed, will do it again. Folks are warm & friendly. One note to be aware. The Breakfast menu on the tables does not include your regular breakfast, I scoured it thoroughly looking for my 'regular', they are all in the $7.00+ range., coffee is $ 1.75 extra. Total was $10.17 (should have asked). After ordering, while waiting I perused the regular menu book tucked behind the condiments and it's in there, $4.60. why not on the 'breakfast menu' ? My Dad always said, " common sense isn't all that common". The supper specials were very reasonable, $8.50 range incl potato, rice, vegetable, choice of juice, soup or dessert, cant beat it, will return to try it.
I am a regular because the food is made right every time. (breakfast) Very hard to get seating but if you have to stand they will ask you if you want to sit at counter until the next available table comes. It is first come first serve. @ CJK ..... you would appreciate the way they put your inline for a table if it was u waiting at the counter. They are really great about giving the next table to who is waiting first. @ mikes.... you are clearly bashing them for some reason...kinda sad as they only have fresh food. OK FOR MY REVIEW... yes I love to go there for breakfast. They are not expensive, they are very nice but remember they are crazy busy and sometimes forget to refill your water or coffee but hey they are crazy busy! so remind them maybe. they will say sorry and bring right away lol. The food is always made the way I ask for it to be made and they are very friendly. What more could you want. This is not a place that if you are in high need of attention when you go out in eat that you should be going to ... they are busy AND THEY ARE EXCELLENT. If you want to suppose small business and a really nice family check it out but be prepared to wait lol....
mom and pop place. homestyle cooking. great prices. nothing fancy, just great food and people. VERY colourful customers. atmosphere is very plain and could porbably use a "facelift"
My Husband loves coming here for the great, cheap breakfasts on the weekend. He also enjoyed the liver and bacon, and the choice of soup or salad that comes with it. Today he chose french toast, and I had a Gyro in a Pita Deluxe. That included wonderful, tasy lemon and rice soup with two packages of soda crackers, a Gyro, a fresh Greek salad, and a generous order of fries, just the way I ordered them. The servings are very generous. The restaurant was packed, but surprisingly just as a table of people was to arrive, a table was departing. The staff were courteous, quick and friendly.
Go here often for breakfast, or lunch. Place is always busy. Booths and counter only. Certainly not fancy. The services is always fast, food is simple, tasty home cooking. My daughter loves Harry's soups. Portions are ample and prices very reasonable. The Greek food could be a little more spicy but menu seems set for all the regulars and there are lots of those. Nothing fancy but always enjoyable.
I live one block from this place and I am a frequent visitor. I've eaten here at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always impressed. Food is quality and prepared rather quickly. For breakfast, I usually get the Harry's Omelette, which has mushrooms and cheese in it. Plus it comes with real hash browns and toast. Oh, and it is only $4.95. Excellent value here. I've also had different burgers here, and they've always been well made and also quite tasty. Again, prices on the burgers are reasonable, with a generous pile of fries coming in at around $6.00. You'd spend more at a fast food joint and you get better quality here. Its quite busy in the mornings, especially on weekends, but tables clear out quickly, and I've only waited maybe 5 minutes at most. Staff are very friendly despite being overwhelmed with hoards of customers at a continual pace. Overall, one of London's better breakfast haunts.
This was my second visit to Harry's Open Kitchen, and we'll definately be back. The place is always busy and we were lucky to get the last available table on this particular visit. The Pork Souvlaki was excellent and the Greek Salad left me craving more. My plate came with Fries and rice pilaf as well. While the fries were good, I would have rather had the more traditional greek lemon roast potatoes that many other establishments serve with a souvlaki dinner. My wife had the veal cutlet with spanish sauce (a tomato based sauce with thick cut vegetables), Her dinner was very tasty as well, and her plate was filled with mashed potates and the vegetable of the day - a small house salad or choice of soup was also included with her meal. Service was good, although a bit slow. Overall, Harry's is a great place for an inexpensive, informal meal. The food, all of which appeared to be prepared from scratch, was very tasty and the price was excellent. I'll definately start visiting this spot more often!
The service was awsome I walked in and a nice lady approached me asking how i was doing. When I ordered my food, it was fast and good. he palce had a good atmosphere. I was well attended and treated like a king.
This was only my second visit to this fine establishment. The food was fantastic, however the service was lacking. We waited a few minutes for a table and then when one became free we were told we could not sit there because another party had been waiting for it, who were already seated at the counter. Who knows why they couldn't just eat at the counter. Anyways we finally got a table, but it took the waitress a while to come and take our order. After bringing us our meal (which was fantastic) she only came back once to ask if we needed anything. I asked her for more water, but she never came back. In the meantime I saw her talking to other customers, filling up thier water glasses and coffee cups! I guess you had to be a regular to get good service.
Been eating here for breakfast for years and love it. It is good simple food done right.
This is one of the best breakfast places in London, nothing special just great breakfast.
Usually very good. The homemade soups are always delicious, although often over salted. I have stopped having coffee there because the waitresses do not often come around for a refill.
