I ordered the pad Thai from Amy's Wok And it was by far the worst pad Thai that I ever had. The chicken was slimy and looked undercooked. I picked it all out. The noodles were too thick and undercooked.
First off, the service wasn't the best.They seemed really pushy and fake- like they just wanted money in their pockets. There was only another customer in there and they seemed really frazzled-I guess they don't have much business.I can definitely tell it wasn't that fresh. Plus the prices aren't that good- reasonable but definitely not note-worthy.
We always get delivery and its never very fast, but
the food is almost always good and always fresh.
It annoys me a little bit that they have changed some small things like the almond soo guy it doesn't actually come with almonds anymore and they have changed the recipe for the sauce as well.
One time they forgot to deliver s+s sauce and I called and said we ordered it and paid for it but it didn't show up and they got mad at me and hung up on me so I had no idea if the sauce was on its way or not! It did show up and the guy apologized and gave us a package of fortune cookies for free too. I keep ordering from here because the alternatives in town are not great. Wok Around has rude workers and they use MSG (see my review for more details). According to other reviews Canton Chinese Food the cook picks his nose. (huge no no in my books). The food is more expensive then the others, but I would rather have decent food. I like the way they double check your order and listen to what you have told them like no MSG.
All in all this is the only Chinese food in Stoney Creek I will eat as delivery.
ordered delivery from amy's wok ... food came nice and hot, good portions for what you pay ... though its just plain ole Chinese .... nothing fantastic but nothing bad
Food is amazing, nice people, and affordable, except I was disappointed to find a hair in my chicken fried rice.
I do still go there, because i love the food. :)
Ordered take out. Food is excellent and authentic. Perfect example of the high quality was that we ordered a few spring rolls and they came in the usual paper bag, but not a single oil or grease stain to it. Excellent excellent food.
Friendly and inviting staff makes the experience even better. Plus you can't beat the 20% off Wednesday pick-up discount!
