No single person can make a business a success for decades; this is especially true in the case of Allure Hair Fashions. Teamwork is what has made the salon one of the best in Maple Ridge for the more than 50 years it has been operating in ValleyFair Mall. Owner Andrea Uberall had been working as a stylist at Allure Hair Fashions for about five years when she took over the business in 2006. She has since moved away from cutting hair to focus solely on running the salon. “I prefer to be able to concentrate on the business,” she explains. “We are one of the top salons in Maple Ridge because I have a really good team. My girls are like a big happy family.”
Some of the 15 employees at Allure Hair Fashions have been with the company for decades. The mutual support and camaraderie among the stylists is visible to customer as soon as they walk in the door. “A team is what makes a business, not just a business owner. If it wasn’t for a good staff, I wouldn’t have a good business,” says Andrea. “All our girls love doing hair; they are true professionals.”
