"I arrived in Canada in 1993 with my parents and siblings," says Johnny Bui, owner of JB Salon. "I studied hairdressing after high school and found that I enjoyed it immensely." However, after finding work in a hairdressing salon, Johnny was disappointed by the level of customer service and how the staff were treated.
"I found there was no connection between the owner and the clients," he says. "I worked there for two and a half years and I saw the owner maybe eight or nine times. Stylists kept leaving. It was then that I decided to take a gamble and open my own salon."
Ever since opening JB Salon in 2013, Johnny has worked hard to create a family-type atmosphere for both his staff and his clients. "If you treat your staff right," he says, "they will stay with you. And happy staff mean happy clients."

Thankyou Amy for my beautiful 5d volume lashes.. never had lashes that stayed on for 3 weeks.. very good customer service, great atmosphere. Especially very clean. I give 2 thumbs up. Thanks Amy
I have always had exceptional service and results with Julia. I have been getting my hair done platinum (beautiful colour) and have had excellent cuts for the last 2 years and would highly recommend this salon. Kim :)
John is THE best stylist for men I have met.
also must say....DO NOT GO HERE! save your $$ I paid over $140 for the worst haircut and highlights ("partial foils"). I complained and got a "fix" on my cut but it is stil really bad. The highlights are not really there- can completely see my roots. She tried to tell my how great they turned out- I need to have them redone and will never go back there. I've never given a bad review but I'm so sorry I went there.
DO NOT GO HERE, I tried this salon for the 1st time and they RUINED my hair, I asked for ombre and ended up with blotchy unblended color all thru my hair. Mgr wouldnt refund me so I had to go back and they still didnt fix it and they charged me 150 bux! Save ur money and ur hair and stay away!

Thank you for your review, we apologize for your negative experience. This is highly uncharacteristic of our staff, as we pride ourselves on great customer service. We assure you that all our stylists are highly qualified and their experience ranges from 5 to 20 years. Unfortunately, the end result of Ombre is different with every hair type. The service will not always look like the picture, dependant on hair type, thickness, length, and previous colour. Along with this, different hair types absorb colour differently. For example, if two customers got the same hair colour applied, the results would always vary. The reason for the 2.5 hours was that we wanted to make sure there was enough time allocated to pay attention to detail and provide the best service possible.
