“Choy Lee Fat is the style of Kung Fu that we practice,” says Paul Tam, owner and head instructor at CLF Kung Fu Club. “It’s one of the few styles from southern China that is still practised in the ways taught by its founder.”
With the recent boom in modern martial arts, the historical roots of traditional martial arts — with their deep ties to Eastern culture and philosophy — are sometimes overlooked. With this in mind, the CLF Kung Fu Club provides students with a full body-mind workout that helps them develop and improve their entire being.
“It’s not just fighting and physical exercise,” Paul says, “it’s a family, a community, a connection between people.”
