Anida Phing Phetsavanh says she has never taken an over-the-counter prescription in her life. “I was raised using herbal [remedies],” she says. “When I got sick, my mother would give me herbal pills. And, when I had kids and they were sick, I would give them Tylenol and they would get violently ill. So, to me, I thought that was something wrong. I preferred to go back to something natural and one reason I started this business is because my children suffer from a lot of allergies. I also want the next generation to be healthier than what it is now.”
When she opened Pure Health Naturally, Anida understood the frustrations that customers might feel when trying to determine which natural remedies genuinely work and which ones are little more than snake oil. That's why she has a staff that's well-versed in all the products stocked at Pure Health Naturally, from vitamins and supplements to food and skin care. The premises are stocked to the hilt with a massive array of products as well as health drinks in a row of coolers on one side of the store. “We try to do everything across the board,” says Anida. “We try to do health care from head to toe.”
