Lisa Vlooswyk is a study in transitions. After attaining elite status as a Canadian gymnast she became a schoolteacher, and after a few years teaching, she took up golf. Soon she was out-distancing the men from the tees and decided to leave her career in education to become one of the longest driving women in the game of golf.
She is a seven-time Canadian Women’s Long Drive Champion and is considered one of the top female long-distance drivers in the world. She’s also an entrepreneur whose multiple endeavours are golf-themed. In just a few years she went from speaking in front of classrooms to delivering keynote addresses to corporate audiences on behalf of her company Lisa Longball.
